Rooted in the cheerful Goan tradition of susegad—an unhurried, hospitable way of life—Casa Aberta reimagines the home as an open invitation. It is conceived as a space that is always welcoming, always permeable, where guests and daily life naturally flow into one another.

Guided by principles of Vastu Shastra, the house is organized around an open axial logic, with carefully placed openings in every direction. This creates continuous cross-ventilation, layered visual connections, and a constant dialogue between spaces. A brick-vaulted entrance marks the threshold, setting a tactile and grounded tone for arrival before unfolding into a sequence of interconnected spaces.
